“This project can’t be summarized into one category, honestly. After a very through listen, 3 times if I may add, I came to the conclusion that It will lead you through every single stage of emotional development. “The perils of kings” in most circumstances is an undertone through each track. Whether is battling for respect, fear, and acceptance amongst peers and adversaries or the internal struggles of men’s greatest weakness (women), humor prevails. Using the comedic relief from a distant uncle, a neighbor or from Superstar Comedian @officialskyyhigh you can see during each stretch of the album how the mood switches. This album, is the full package. Asking the twins what made y’all embark on doing something like this they stated,

“We got tired of people saying recent hip hop/rap is boring. The lack of creativity is due to artist being told to follow what’s hot or what the people are buying and we just choose to be ourselves. We all living in this system and deal with all the same stresses as everyone else. We are here to not only show you that we are dealing with the same bullshit but to show you that, how we navigate through shit and keep going forward is through humor.”

To be expected, the underlying message in the track titles again speak for itself. Leaving each reader with a blatant message to digest their own way. Seeing how this tape expands on the overall message of the track titles and album names, I’m truly excited to see what the 2wIIn Kingz have to follow up this masterpiece. If I had a vote, this is album of the year for 2024.
